Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s historic capital and cultural heart. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the Expedition Himalaya team welcomes you and assists with your transfer to the hotel. The day is kept relaxed to allow recovery after international travel. In the evening, enjoy a traditional welcome dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant, accompanied by a cultural performance showcasing Nepal’s music, dance, and heritage—an ideal introduction to the country’s living traditions.
Day 2: Cultural Sightseeing: Bhaktapur, Boudhanath Stupa & Swayambhunath
Today is dedicated to exploring some of the Kathmandu Valley’s most significant cultural landmarks. Begin with Bhaktapur, a beautifully preserved medieval city known for its brick-paved squares, temples, and traditional Newari architecture. Continue to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, where prayer wheels, monasteries, and chanting monks create a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The day concludes at Swayambhunath, perched on a hill overlooking the valley. This ancient stupa blends Hindu and Buddhist symbolism and offers sweeping views across Kathmandu.
Day 3: Early Morning Flight to Pokhara & Lakeside Sightseeing
An early morning flight takes you west to Pokhara, a city known for its relaxed pace, natural beauty, and Himalayan backdrop. Upon arrival, explore the lakeside area and key cultural and natural landmarks of the Pokhara Valley. The calm waters of Phewa Lake, surrounding temples, and mountain reflections provide a peaceful contrast to the bustle of Kathmandu.
Day 4: Cable Car Ride to Sarangkot, Sightseeing & Flight Back to Kathmandu
Begin the day with a scenic cable car ride to Sarangkot, a renowned viewpoint offering panoramic views over Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna range. The elevated perspective provides a memorable highlight, combining ease of access with dramatic scenery. After additional sightseeing in Pokhara, return by flight to Kathmandu in the afternoon, allowing time to relax or enjoy a final evening in the capital.
Day 5: International Departure
Expedition Himalaya arranges your airport transfer for international departure. As you leave Nepal, the journey concludes with lasting memories of its cultural richness, sacred landmarks, and scenic landscapes.

Good!
Exellent guide for solo trekking. The flexibility of the programm was good and everything worked with Expedition Himalaya.
Awesome experience.
This is a one in a lifetime experience, to one of the most remote areas of the world. The whole journey was breathtaking and an excellent experience. We were unfortunate with the weather at the end but that is mountain life. Himalayan experience worked tirelessly to organise helicopter flights off the mountain, along with the other 2000 people stranded at Lukla airport. Big thanks to Ian Pallister for organising this for us. Pasan our lead guide, and Lapa our junior guide. I would thoroughly recommend this company if you want to complete Everest Base camp and other adventures.
Tibet2025_Zanardi
We were a group of 4 family members traveling to Tibet through Kathmandu. EH organized the perfect trip for us. All guides and drivers were excellent from all points of view: professional, friendly, experienced, thoughtful, flexible, reliable, respectful. Prabeen was our guide in Kathmandu. Dawa Sherpa flew with us from Kathmandu to Lhasa and carefully orchestrated every single detail of our Tibet tour, including shopping for picnics in late evenings and last-minute helicopter arrangements. Tashi is THE guide you want in Tibet: all the adjectives above, plus much more, and always in harmony with Dawa for daily decisions. Driver Tsering is simply amazing: great driver, improvised porter, strong communicator with gazes and gestures (not English speaking). We ended up with the feeling of traveling in a group of 7 family members for 2 weeks. The tour included the Kailash kora, up to 5630 mt altitude. EH organized it carefully, so that we arrived acclimatized and suffered a minimum. EH co-owner (with Dawa) Nabin met us personally multiple times in Kathmandu before the Tibet tour and after it, for briefing and farewell. And Niren has been in constant contact with us, in person and by phone. I strongly recommend EH for adventure accompanied by safety and special treats.
