As Nepal welcomed trekkers from around the world during one of the best times of the year to travel- clear skies, moderate temperatures, and blooming rhododendrons—our team delivered a diverse lineup of high-altitude expeditions, scenic treks, and cultural tours. With decades of combined experience and a local team rooted in the mountains, we were proud to guide hundreds of adventurers safely and successfully through some of the most iconic trails in the Himalayas.
Among our signature offerings this season, the Everest Base Camp trek stood out once again as a top favorite. In total, over 67 trekkers completed the journey to Everest Base Camp with us this spring. This includes a major 38-member group that departed just before the onset of the monsoon season and experienced excellent weather and visibility throughout. Alongside them, we also operated several smaller and private groups, including three pairs of trekkers, as well as other medium-sized teams. The Khumbu region was alive with energy—teahouses were bustling, trails were in perfect condition, and the views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam were consistently clear. A few trekkers from the smaller groups required timely helicopter evacuations from higher altitudes due to symptoms of altitude sickness. These cases were handled swiftly and professionally in coordination with our local staff and helicopter partners, ensuring everyone’s safety and peace of mind. This consistent ability to respond to emergencies, while maintaining smooth operations, continues to define our strength in high-altitude trekking.
Another major highlight this spring was our Everest Base Camp Trek combined with a Lobuche East peak climb. This itinerary, perfect for adventurers seeking a blend of trekking and mountaineering, attracted 40 participants who successfully reached Everest Base Camp before attempting the 6,119-meter summit of Lobuche East. The climb, considered one of Nepal’s best trekking peaks, offered panoramic views across the Khumbu Himalaya, including Everest itself. Supported by our experienced climbing Sherpas and logistics team, the group enjoyed a successful expedition with clear summit windows, excellent acclimatization, and a rewarding sense of achievement. Many participants shared that this was the most meaningful and empowering journey of their lives.
Elsewhere in the Himalayas, we continued to operate treks in quieter, culturally rich regions. Our Langtang–Gosaikunda trek welcomed 8 trekkers, leading them through the beautiful Langtang Valley and onward to the sacred alpine lakes of Gosaikunda. Known for its spiritual significance and remote landscapes, this trail was a welcome alternative to the busier routes. Guests connected with local Tamang communities, walked through forests of spring rhododendrons, and witnessed firsthand the quiet strength of villages still recovering from past disasters. It was a peaceful, personal experience for those seeking something off the beaten path.Meanwhile, our Annapurna Foothills trek drew 32 travelers looking for a moderate trekking option with dramatic views and authentic village life. This lower-elevation route offers panoramic views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the iconic Machapuchare, or Fishtail Mountain. With comfortable lodges, warm village hospitality, and beautiful trails winding through terraced fields and rhododendron forests, the trek proved ideal for families and first-time visitors to Nepal. Many guests expressed that the relaxed pace allowed them to truly absorb the scenery, culture, and rhythm of rural mountain life.
In addition to high-altitude adventures, we also curated guided Kathmandu–Pokhara tours, participants enjoying the cultural and natural richness of Nepal without the rigors of trekking. These tours blended ancient heritage sites, mountain viewpoints, and the relaxed atmosphere of lakeside Pokhara. They are an ideal option for guests seeking deeper cultural immersion or those with limited time.
On the mountaineering front, we supported five climbers on our Everest Expedition this season. Backed by our expert high-altitude guides, support staff, and logistics crew, the team followed a careful acclimatization plan and climbed with safety-first strategies. Climbing Mount Everest remains one of the greatest physical and mental tests on Earth, and we are proud to have supported their efforts with precision and care. The team's performance reflected our deep-rooted expertise in Himalayan expeditions.
As spring wrapped up, we transitioned directly into our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra operations. This sacred journey began with our largest pilgrimage group —45 participants now on their way to Mount Kailash, with guided sightseeing in Lhasa as part of the itinerary. These high-altitude spiritual journeys across the Nepal-Tibet border are logistically complex, and we are managing them with the same commitment to safety and seamless service that guides all our expeditions.
With Spring 2025 behind us, we are now focused on the upcoming Autumn trekking and expedition season. Autumn in Nepal offers some of the clearest mountain views of the year, with post-monsoon freshness and rich cultural festivals throughout the country. Whether you are planning to trek to Everest Base Camp, explore offbeat trails, climb a Himalayan peak, or simply experience Nepal’s warm hospitality and dramatic scenery, Expedition Himalaya is ready to guide you every step of the way. Our preparation, field expertise, and trusted logistics are already in place, and we look forward to welcoming new and returning adventurers to the mountains once again.
2.31.0"}
